Highlands Libraries: Thanksgiving Holiday Closure
All three Highlands County Libraries will have a special holiday schedule for the week of Thanksgiving. The libraries will open 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. on Monday, November 25, 2025 and will be closed until Tuesday, December 3, 2024. Libraries will resume normal operating hours the week after Thanksgiving. During this time, the outside returns will be closed to allow staff time with family. Thank you and enjoy your holidays!
This graphic reflects the week at a glance for November 24 to November 30, 2024. Libraries are open on Monday and closed Thursday through Saturday. The therapy dogs will be at our libraries at 11 a.m. on the following days: Monday at Avon Park, Tuesday at Lake Placid and Wednesday at Sebring. Lake Placid will host story time at 10 a.m. on Wednesday. The mobile library will be at the Lorida Community Center on Monday from 1:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.
