We have recently completed an upgrade to Polaris, our automated library system. Polaris recommends using IE8 as your browser for accessing Polaris from home. However, several users have reported other browsers such as Firefox seem to work. Chrome has difficulty displaying the suggestions drop down box. If you are not able to place holds from home, you may have to clear your computer’s cache and restart. Users reporting trouble with placing holds have found taking these steps fixes the problem.

The library is an essential teaching source, whenever I need information on how to better a lesson for my class, I go to the library on Saturday and look things up. I don’t know how I would manage without the library. It greatly improves the quality of my lessons. I become better informed on whatever I am teaching before I teach it and up to date on the info.
It is also a relaxing quiet place to go on Saturdays away from the bustle. I greatly appreciate both Avon Park Library and Sebring Library.
