DeSoto County received a grant for Career Online High School scholarships with extended eligibility to all the Heartland Library Cooperative members funded by the Florida State Library.
These scholarships are open for adults who are at least 19 years of age and do not have a high school diploma (certificate students are welcome to apply). The only requirements to apply for this new program is to have a Highlands Library Cooperative card in good standing, complete an assessment test and complete a trial course in 14 days with a 70% score. Once the requirements are met, the applicant will participate in a selection interview process.
